Artist History
formed summer of 1999 out of boredom during a hiatus from their other bands, Bassist Matthew Goins and Singer Stephen Chisholm quickly recruited Metal/Math Rock legend Sean Sheen to replace former guitarist Carmen Vasquez (x-ultra bait).after going through a stable of drummers, the band was finally able to lasso in dynamo skinsman Rich Green formerly of The Episode, and Action Patrol. the band started gigging in november of '99 and have not failed to deliver the rock & roll goods since. all of the performances this far have been high energy, entertaining albeit a bit frightening. |

Press Reviews
"RAMS. This band totally rocks. They play punk rock combined with other stiles. Their web page is also very cool. This band has been a great surprise for me..."Maurici Ribera, radio show Trilogy Rock (SPAIN) TRILOGY ONLINE, 6th show "SOLID,SOLID,SOLID Anyone influenced by Black Francis(Or is it Frank Black?)Get's on this page!! Yes I agree...GO RAMS GO!" Thomas Burgett The RamsGo Rams Go "In the year and a half or so that Richmond's Rams have been around, they've endured enough trials & tribulations to fill up the first seven or so minutes of a VH-1 Behind the Music special. All-night drug binges. Fornication. Internet piracy. Drunken fistfights. Copyright disputes. Weight-lifting. Inter-personnel romances. Revolving-door line-up changes (just recently, founding member/guitar player Carmen was replaced by "The Golden Boy" Sean Harris). Yet the Rams respond by lowering their horns and pushing forward. The tone of this album is bold and direct. The songs are well-crafted and don't just go from part to part. Rich Green's drumming is rock- solid, Matt Goens' bass lines weave in and out of Carmen's indie-meets-Black Flag guitar lines. Steve Chisolm's vocals jump out at you and make you spill your PBR all over yourself, but you don't seem to care. Best of all, you can download this album at www.mp3.com/therams." - David DiDonato |
