Artist History I'd played guitar for so long I hit a (low?) point & had a fling with banjo for awhile but I'm feeling much better now. Actually that helped a lot with picking & getting more involved with open tunings which led me to Martin Simpson. He set me up straight with guitar again - serious open tunings & slide work.Over the last 8 or 10 years I've gotten more confident with my own material, so "Mermaids", my first cd, came about. I am currently working on two new projects; the first is another cd of my material. The second is a collection of poems by the Australian poet Henry Lawson. for which I am developing arrangements.I find the sentiment in Lawsons'work very moving & I'm especially hopeful I can make something worthwhile of it.
