Artist description
Current line-up for this album is: Lucy Martyn : Vocals Jamie Clossick: Lead Guitar Paul Cox: Keyboards/Guitar/Percussion Dave Clark: Bass guitar/Guitar/Keyboards Tony Hutton: Lyrics The album has been five years in the making. Lucy also sings with top Bristol based band Rythym Republic. The album encompasses a variety of genres ranging from futuristic retro, to retro futurism. An eclectic mix of guitar pop, dance and ballads. Enough lifts, hooks and surprises to keep your attention throughout. Lucy has a rich and deep voice, superb control and is not afraid to let rip. Lucy is flexible, lively, witty and irresistable. The guitar work from Jamie is as innovative and sparkling as ever and he is virtually peerless in his technical ability and feel. Paul likes to write with a variety of instruments and in many styles. His focus is on the decorative and melodic but whenever possible he explores quirkiness, pomp and overkill. Dave's bass, grooves and holds it together at the bottom end. He is an experienced engineer and along with Paul has co-produced this album to the highest standard. Some of the 'eco-doom' lyrics on the album are a reminder to us all that the Earth is really suffering under human pressure. Tony's 'losing touch with nature' lyric, along with Paul's 'paradise island' hit the message home. Tony's more personal lyrics show great depth and perception.
