Artist description
MFK is a rock band with flava. Intense, unpredictable...are words used to describe our music, our live performance, and our work ethic. We are constantly experimenting and expanding our music every time we play. Improvisation is an important part of our existence. Sometimes greatness happens when urgency collides with resistance...energy ensues. |

Artist History
"Let's Get Handsome" was our first full length effort after several demo tpaes fell on rave reviews. "Planet Tone Deaf", our second full length CD, acheived for us a stable position in the regional music scene. And we recently released a six song EP entitled "Sugarilla", featuring some new material and some live tracks. We've been on several compilations, and have been played on several local and regional radio stations. We will keep on playing and creating new music in the future because it's just simply fun. Though the members of MFK have all moved on to other projects and other cities, you can still contact them to buy CD's or just tell them how great they are at hitlength@aol.com. |

Press Reviews
MFK, the artist formerly known as My Friend Kevin, are sporting a tasty new EP, "Sugarilla". The record showcases the bands unique, slanted AltPop sound over six tracks. Angular guitar riffs and memorable Post Punk melodies are MFK's strong point, and they also exhibit a refreshing sense of humor on the EP (why do bands tkae themselves so seriously anyway). The band's "Medley" is a must-hear for the children of the '80's, as the band mesh togethre Pop Metal hits of that era in their own indelible style." Mike Breen, for City Beat 4-6-2000. |
