    Artist History
In summer of 1998, Rick was contacted by Tommy Martin, the former manager, of the Jazz/Rock group, Chase and traveled to Memphis, Tennessee to re-mix some of Kennsington Brass's music. Rick worked closely with Willie Mitchell, (Janet Jackson, The Ides of March), and William Brown, Willie Mitchell's engineer. All the folks involved with the mixing expressed interest in working with Rick, including Tommy Martin who commented on Rick's ability to write horn lines like the late Bill Chase, from Chase. "You write lines like Bill would have." said Tommy. Rick has begun formal trumpet lessons with Rich Szabo of the Maynard Ferguson Orchestra.Since the inception of the band, Rick got the chance to meet and work with a lot of fine musicians: Freddy Maxwell from the Lionel Hampton Orchestra. John Somers from the Somers Dream Orchestra. Phil Jones of Elvis Presley's band and Country Music Hall of Fame Inductee. Joe Romano from the Ray De La Paz band. Rich Szabo from Maynard Ferguson and Frank Sinatra Jr.. Mike Smith from The Supper Club in NYC, Jerry Romano from The John Christian Orchestra, Steve Austin from The New Jersey Symphony and Billy Holiday from The Street Survivors, a Lynard Skynard tribute band from New Jersey.
