Artist description
The doors shut. The wheels turn. The machinesin the parade of progress roll on toward the next city. The grandmaster, who created the wonderfulmachines, now hands the keys to his children. Butthe children view the parade as a foolish waste oftime and money. After years of debate, they decideto abandon the parade. They fear that the obstaclesare too great and the road too rough to keep the machines running. The parade is soon forgotten. |

Artist History
Now, parked just off a small mid-west highway, therestands a reminder a memory of past glory and of futurehope. The machines did not falter. For they faithfully carried the cargo of knowledge entrustedto them. Rather, it was the children who faltered, for they failed to realize that the parade of progress must never stop. The message of hope andthe dreams conceived can only be realized afterenduring this world's hard road. |
