Artist description
* Playing an eclectic mixture of funk-flamenco-country-rock-blues, Chris Gonzalez and his band perform music in the vein of the Beatles-meets-Los Lobos.* While he enjoys and performs his original material, Chris Gonzalez has not forgotten the artists whom have inspired him along his musical journey. To pay homage to his heroes, Chris also performs songs from artists such as the Beatles, Los Lobos, and the Wallflowers. |

Artist History
* Chris, who started developing his songwriting skills when he was 12, spent several years in Austin playing both as a solo performer and with groups like, The Selfish Bastards, The Cool Arrows and The Slaughter Creek Band (recorded a four song demo in Austin with members of the Slaughter Creek Band. Available soon on MP3.com). He has entertained audiences in Austin, San Marcos, Kerrville, and Dallas/Fort Worth.* Recently, he relocated to the Dallas area to be closer to family, but his music ambitions have not subsided. He has since formed a band to promote his new CD, "With the Windows Down" which was created with the help of several great local talents including Roy Robbins of the Billy Joe Shaver Band, Ed Rogers from the Gypsy Troubadours, and Matthew Williams from the Blarney Brothers. |
