Artist description Moodring is an all original three piece band hailing from the confines of Niles, MI. Fueling up on the mental anguish of Tool, emotional sarcasm of Nirvana and the rhythmic brutality of Pantera, Moodring combine the simplest forms of musical bliss with a sound all their own. Beginning as a recording project between high school friends, guitarist - Jay Fritz and Bassist/Vocalist - Matt Hitt in 1994, dozens of songs were written and recorded before finding one-armed drumming phenomenon, Scott Hadley in 1999. The guys hit it off immediately, writing a new collection of songs with a much more live, raw feel aimed at expressing their dissatisfaction with the world and its inhabitants. Moodring's unique stage presence, enhanced by their visual appearance and verbal interludes between songs, has only cemented a growing midwestern fan base that always gets what they pay for. Their current release ". . . With Four Nails of the Raven", introduces the public to the most violent shade of this Moodring yet. With a back catalog of one EP, "The Subtle Shade of Impurity" - 1997, two full lengths, "Pigments from the Delicat Abrasion" - 1999 and "Spiteful Deterrent" - 2000 and aspirations to tour the east and west coastlines, Moodring awaits your conscience and an open ear.
