Artist description
William Ether's new album "(the soundtrack to) Drowning Missouri", while not actually a movie soundtrack, is a collection of musical musings on the way that film and media are integrated into our (modern) lives in an essential way. The lyrics are clever and sharp, and the music is more driven and rock-oriented than "The Garden King". but the album also includes some new, interestingly-stylized pieces, and a lot of soul. |

Artist History
William Ether's first album was a project called "The Garden King", by Elevenland (http://www.mp3.com/elevenland), which is a theme album about an oak tree who tells stories about the dead beneath its roots. As a song-writer and artist, he spent lots of time working on the intricasies of the vision, both artistically and musically. In his new album ("Drowning Missouri"), William takes a lighter approach and lets his artistic instincts guide him toward the aspects of music that he enjoys the most. "(The soundtrack to) Drowning Missouri" follows various aspects of life as they relate to cinema and media, as they are reflected in what people experience as a "cinematic life". |
