Artist description
The Pipe Creek Boys is the collaboration of brothers Pat and Dennis Corbitt. Born and raised in Maryland, the brothers grew up on a farm in the 1940s and 50s, when the countryside was a picture postcard and childhood meant swimming holes and general stores. Now, as adults, Pat and Dennis have written and performed a collection of children's songs based on their childhood memories of rural Maryland and their parent's upbringing in the same area at the dawn of the 20th Century. The songs, folk and sing-along tales for kids, focus on history, fairness, self-reliance, and caring--all with a catchy beat.Named for the stream they played in as kids near their childhood home, The Pipe Creek Boys' music also includes a helping hand from Pat's grown children and from family friend Tony Fennell, a longtime professional musician. |
