    Artist History
Renaissance came together in late 1993. The band has gone through many changes since they were a High School Rock n Roll band from Duluth Georgia. The band originaly consisted of seven members Brett Barnhill, Travis Kuhlke, Chris Bagby, Sean Morrisy, Charlie Finch, Melissa Brown and Chris Vitale. Brett Barnhill and Melissa Brown were the founding members. The next to join were Chris Bagby and Travis Kuhlke. At this time the group felt that something was not complete, so they brought on Sean Morrisy, Charlie Finch and Chris Vitale. Life was good. They were playing at clubs around Atlanta and starting to make themselves known; at clubs like the Wreck Room the band was packing in crowds. Since those days their Man In The Chair has become their trade mark along with quality Rock 'n' Roll. Hard times and new challenges faced the band for the next two years. Tragedy struck on the late afternoon June 2, 1995 when they found their long time friend and rhythem guitarist Travis Kuhlke had died due to suicide. This almost destroyed the band. Psychedilic Guru and female lead vocalist Melissa Brown was forced to move to another area of the state, straining practice time. With two of its seven members gone they struggled to the billboards of such Atlanta nightclubs as the Roxy Theater and The International Ball Room. In 1996 Sean Morissy was kicked out of the band due to unfortunate circumstanses. Shortly after, the band brought on Jim Mazzarelli as their new vocalist. They have a strong Fan base, lots of friends, and a love for the music they create. To All Our Friends and Fans Thank You For Your Support...
