Artist description Rapsori started as a project group that gathers the best of korean american rappers and put the songs out together. As time went by, members got close together, and it became more of a group. And back in August, 2000, Soriggoon Entertainment was founded by Wany, and from there, Rapsori became the 'all-star' group of Soriggoon Entertainment. Rapsori tries to represent korean-americans with hiphop, in which Wany likes to call '1.5 Hiphop.'

Musical Influences We are influenced by a lot of different music. But Hip-hop is what influenced us the most.

Artist History Rapsori Project 1.5 was started back in January, 2000, by Wany. We started with 14 rappers, and released our first single 'Break Down The Wall.' The song didn't go well as we expected, and we've received some backlash as well. But we didn't give up there. We worked harder to make better music with better rap skills, and the result was 'HipHop 1.5,' the song that debuted as no.1 on Korea chart, and also reached no.1 in Asia chart back in June, 2000. Ever since then, we kept releasing tracks, and on May, 2000, our firts album 'K-Side' was released. It became 'the 5th most selling hiphop album' on mp3.com in June, 2000. From there the group decided to take time off. Members like Wany, M.a.xx went on to launch a solo career, while Unco, X-tacy, and G Jung went on to form another group called 'Damn Style' with new member Saddogg. In August, 2000, Soriggoon Entertainment was established and Rapsori became its all-star group for the label. Finally on November 7th, Rapsori released 'Hiphop Manifesto,' first single ever since the release of 'K-side' back in May.

Group Members We had some up and downs ever since the group was formed. Some memers quit, and some members came in. As of right now Rapsori consists of 15 members. Wany is the leader who runs Soriggoon Entertainment. He keeps Rapsori on the track and most of business works. M.a.xx is musical genius of the group, who makes great hiphop trakcs with his midi skills. Damn Style consists Unco, X-tacy, G Jung and Saddog. R.E.R. consists of Ceci, Na MC, and Dr. Hong. 708 is combination of Aegookja and Ill Chun. Noid is the 'big man' of the group and is about to launch a solo career. Swin is former one half of 'Tenchu Guru' who now runs as a solo.Currently we have 17 members. Wany is the leader who's showing the direction for this project. M.A.XX., KL, Swin, EyeD, and Frikinstep are musical talents in the project, most of them having their songs on mp3.com. Unco, Mecca, X-tacy, Noid, JL Style, mc AeGookJa, and Rapdon dj are up-and-coming rappers who's only getting better with time. At last but not least, Iris and Ceci are female rappers of our project, and SooYoung and Connie are the female vocals who does all the vocals in our project.

Albums Debut album ''K-Side' was 5th most selling hiphop album on mp3.com. Right now new album 'The 2nd Impact' is in the work, to be released by the end of the year.

Press Reviews 'Hip-hop 1.5' debuted at no.1 on korea chart, and went on to become no.1 on asia chart. 'Korean Revolution' reached no.2 in Korea chart, and 'X.U.W' also reached no.2 on Korea chart. Our new single 'Hiphop Manifesto' is ranked no.2 on Millim, korea's leading underground music chart.
