Artist description
Techno/House with a danceable mix and a sly sense of humor. Mobius Dick is a techno band that takes technology seriously. Technology is the most important force in the world today. We say, don't rage against the machine -- embrace the machine. But remember: as carbon-based life forms, we have an inherent, hardwired drive to DANCE! |

Mobius Dick was originally founded by our greatgrandfathers, whose efforts to make steam-powered synthesizers failed amid a cloud of coal smoke. We have taken up the torch and are helping their legacy bear fruit. |

Press Reviews
"'Give Peace a Chance,' 'We are the World' -- and now 'Embrace the Machine.'. . . Mobius Dick is on a roll with technology commentary in its techno songs." --Salon.com, 4/12/2000 "Cleanly produced dancefloor tracks with up-tempo beats and rushing, modulated synthlines. For those who were born slippy." --Listen.com "What's nonorientable and lives in the sea? Mobius Dick." --Jeff Dalton, U. of Edinburgh, UK. Okay, this last isn't a review, just a math joke that's circulating on the Internet. I guess we are nonorientable -- no one seems to be able to place us.... |
