Artist description
Marla's third nationally distributed disc, I'M NO ANGEL is an intensely energetic and sensual mix of dramatic, jazzy vocals, fiery blues-rock guitar, and sophisticated, swampy R&B grooves. Ms. BB's sultry sassy singing is unquestionably the highlight of this disc, though the CD also features the talents of Marla's star-studded live band. Marla brings a heaping helping of sex and verve to her explosive music. |

Artist History
Raised in Philadelphia, Marla BB studied drama at Boston's Emerson College and took vocal jazz classes at Berklee College of Music. While involved in experimental theatre, Ms. BB started her first band. Singing the blues, Marla developed a saucy stage persona that enabled her to combine her love of music with her love of acting. In subsequent years, she formed her own record label, Ascending Productions, released several successful recordings (including a regional hit version of the Rolling Stones' "Beast of Burden"...sung in Hebrew!), and toured throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. Marla BB is currently preparing to hit the road again in support of I'M NO ANGEL! |
