Press Reviews
Review of Dignity Stripped, as found in Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles Magazine #35 "Dignity Stripped is the follow-up to '97's Retrogression. As psycotic as the crowds at Woodstock this past summer, Unborn pound out a chaotic noise which draws from Biohazard, Earth Crisis, Sick Of It All and Sepultura: part metal, part hardcore, all energy. Thankfully, this four-peice avoid the trendy pitfall known as Limp Bizkit. Vocalist Jay uses varied voices, which range from a minor tongue-lashing to an all out verbal assault. Turn this up and hit the heavy bag...Review of Dignity Stripped, as found in Discordia Zine, Issue#3:this is a band out of Burlington, Ontario who have a bit of a newer metal sound, with the major influence being newer sepultura, which is a sound apparent in both the riff department and in the very sepultura-like production. thereis a more of a metalcore sound in Unborn than in Sepultura, which can be described as an influence from earth crisis, Vocalist jay barrett has a great voice, fluctuating from brutal, rough screeming to clean straightforward singing and finally some rapping. with a total of five songs, this demo CD is absolutely a wise investment at a measly $ 10 Canadian. |
