Artist History Forever Kid is the vehicle which showcases the lyrics and music of Kevin Webster, whether solo or with some of his excellent musician friends helping out in the studio. His first guitar was a piece of wood tied to cardboard cut-out of a Strat and he was writing lyrics long before he could play. Primarily self-taught, he began studying guitar at age 16. In college, he changed majors from Engineering to Music and was accepted into the classical program at Penn State with no formal training. 2 years later he graduated and began to play the drunken, college bar circuit for the next several years until moving to LA in 1990. In and out of various bands for 5 years he finally formed his own called "Typical", with stellar musicians who have gone on to write for the LA Philharmonic, or do notable session work, or tour with amazing performers like Rod Stewart or Tony MacAlpine. Throughout the rollercoaster ride he has remained true to his craft, shunning trends and mediocrity. He has always tried to write songs that would stand the test of time like the Beatles or Led Zeppelin. Hook-laden music weaves throughout the angst and hopefully takes you to a timeless place where the song was more important than the production. He currently plays guitar for other artists while he tries to have his songs placed in film/TV or with other artists. Most recently before moving to the DC area he did some session work for Dr. Dre replacing his former guitarist.
