Artist History
A former student of jazz legend Yusef Lateef, guitarist and leader Ezra Gale moved to the Bay Area in 1995 and immediately began playing many of the area's jazz venues with a variety of musicians, most notably with fellow MP3.Com artist Bob Bartosic. Since striking out on his own as a leader, Gale has brought his inventive and unique compositional and playing style to settings that recall the mid-60's Miles Davis Quintet, the groove-oriented masterpieces of Ahmad Jamal and the sweatiness of the JB's. |
