Artist description
Doobie Jack is a solo artist who has been writing and recording music for over ten years. He has played in numerous bars and Café’s on Long Island in both cover and original bands. In October 1997, Doobie left his cover band to record his debut album titled “LonGisland” (to let the rest of the world know the correct way to pronounce it). Doobie Jake wrote, produced and composed all 14 tracks and played most of the guitars, bass and keyboards. All vocals were also done by Doobie. The CD is a combination of Rock, Pop and Alternative music with a few surprises. “LonGisland” was put together for people who like various types of music but is not intended for simple minds. A listener may have to reach deep within themselves to appreciate each message as the songs can appeal to many senses and moods. Doobie Jake can be seen playing acoustic gigs in upcoming months. For upcoming gig dates, please e-mail the band at doobiejake@yahoo.com. |
