Artist description A Cal Arts graduate, who after many years of exploring many popular instrumental genres, has found a love of transparency, lyricism and hyperkinetic rhythm to forge compositions to reflect, romanticize and remember. Passive and hypnotic sustains, filtered expressive pointillism combined with rhythmic grooves create the foundation for the memorable melodies and lyrical improvisations performed with a single voice acoustic piano. Artist History Curtis S. D. Macdonald has been a Composer for all media since graduating from CAL ARTS in 1986. He has gone on to create wonderful scores for film, television, and most recently computer based games. Recently he is working on the Sony Wonder/Warner Bros. animation series Generation O, as music editor for Vitello Productions, Hollywood, CA. He has finished as sound designer on two animation series for UPN, Milo's Bug Quest and The Roswell Conspiracies and one for Cartoon Network, Fat Dog Mendoza. As a composer, Macdonald is continuing his efforts with his own brand of romantic smooth acid jazz. He continues to contribute as a senior composer for the Fresh music library.
