Artist History Carriers of the Cross is not only the name of a Christian Hip-Hop ministry but a way of life for these members, in the body of the living Lord, who have come together to carry the cross of the resurrected Messiah, Jesus the Christ, across to all nations... for more info visit the Carriers website. (www.carriersofthecross.com). Matthew 10:38 states, "if anyone does not take up his cross and follow me (Jesus) he is not worthy of me." Not being worthy of our Creator? Then we sure are not worthy of life but eternal condemnation. The Carriers are striving to be worthy of the lamb. We want to carry our cross into every project, city, country, and continent. We want to reach all nations. Every man, women and child of every color and race, of every gender, of every economic status, of every creed, they all need to know what a forgiving sacrificial love means and who the Lord of lords is. Each member of this ministry has made a life commitment to carry their cross across the nation seeking those lost souls to represent the salvation of Christ, the Messiah. The Carriers of the Cross would like to thank God for their salvation, their gifts and talents, and for giving us this tool of Hip Hop to reach the lost. We hope to be worthy tools of GOD and bring to His heavenly kingdom a nation of Saints. -Statement of Faith- The Carriers bind their existence under the direct command and law of God. We truly believe with our lives that the Bible is inspired word from the Alpha and Omega. We believe with our souls that God sent His Son, Jesus the Christ, as a human born of a virgin woman and the Holy Spirit to free us from the bondage of sin, liberating us from eternal death. Christ is one hundred percent (100%) man and one hundred percent (100%) God. He walked on earth to be a living testimony of His Father then died and resurrected for the salvation of mankind. The Carriers believe that the end times are here and that the Christ will return like a thief in the night to take his church. A world where the Church has abandoned and neglected the urban cities due to the stereotyping of baggy clothes wearing creations of God. Our mission is to let the urban youth know and understand who Christ is and what He stands for. We want to hand out the word of God with our gifts and talents. Sex, drugs, and egoism have perverted the sound waves in the radio broadcasting industry. With our recorded material we would hope to bring some redemption into the airwaves and blessthe listeners with a message of salvation rather than a message of temptation and destruction. If blessed to do so we would also be privileged to be able to hand out our CDs to those who do no know the Lord for free. Each Carrier has specific and personal ministry goals but has come to unite their visions to captivate the minds and hearts of the youth and be used by God to save their souls. Carriers of the Cross awaits the chance and opportunity of God using us to heal the sick, bless the unfortunate, and bring this nation back under God. Biography The Carriers were formed and guided by our Creator on August of 1998. God inspired and gave RizenSon a vision to reach the urban youth when debating the existence of God with a member of the Nations of Gods and Earth. This god-body's last words were, "If God was so real why aren't there any Hip Hop artists out there representing Him?" After those words RizenSon found it necessary to try and write a rap song about Christ with high school buddy Captial?A with a motivation to disprove those last words. After the lyrics to the first song were completed unknowingly the Carriers were beginning to form. Still simply a vision in the eyes of a servant attending service at his local church God then reveled to him the bible verse that gave his ministry the name Carriers of the Cross and the mission to carry the message of the resurrection across the nations. RizenSon and Capital?A got together with Ben deCido and Remix who were members of the praise and worship team at Iglesia Bautista Central (Central Baptist Church) to create some music, Christian Hip Hop.God is still playing Chess Master as he is strategically placing the pieces of a ministry he is forming. The Prophecyer receives an email from the visionary RizenSon requesting to know more about his Love for God and Hip Hop. Is it a coincidence that over the internet via email the Propheceyr is contacted among the thousands and thousands of internet users. Apparently Hip Hop and the love for the Christ were not the only things these two aspired servants had in common. The Prophecyer and RizenSon both attended Nyack College where they have meet on occasion as casual peers. The vision was shared and adopted, an invitation to a practice for a collaborated project was accepted, beats were created, and the Carriers of the Cross were born. Several weeks later God opened the doors for the Carriers of the Cross to minister to the students of Nyack College where they received a standing ovation. That was the beginning of an adventure that is still ongoing strong. The Carriers have ministered the word of God across the United States. We have ministered at events such as RapFest 1999 & 2000, City Fest 1999 & 2000, CruVention 2000, Seventh Street Sound Off, Flavor Fest and more. We have ministered alongside Cross Movement, Nancy Jackson, BBJ, Trig Omega, Judah Priest, Beridox, Sup the Chemist, Urban Disciple, 1Way and more. God has blessed us with an EP entitled "ChessMasters." Now, with the guidance of the Lord we are working on our full length album entitled "Carriers." Please pray for our ministry! Blessed Be!!
