Artist History
Songwriters, musicians - geographically disperse. The South: Florida. Georgia. Tampa, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale. Old friends. A couple of microphones. A computer or two. The Internet. Bandwidth makes a band - or sort of a band - the virtual band. An idea - an email - an upload - a download - a collaboration - a tune. A tape - a DAT - a CD - well no, but MP3 yes. A recording studio - nope, why? Sometimes a phone call - "what are the chords?" - sometimes not. A mandolin, an accordion, drums, percussion, guitars - electric, acoustic? Yes. Would you prefer six strings with that or twelve? Both please. A bass, some keys. A groove box? At times. Technology is creativity. This would have been hard to do 10 years ago. Viva Los Virtual. |

"I wonder how long it actually takes to write the songs - transmits included. Do they use modems?" - Tampa Uptown Gazette. |
