Artist History Gavin and Niles Driskell formed the Mulligrubs in 1995 with drummer Sean Steinhardt and completed the lineup in 1998 with bassist Doug Teike. The band writes tunes that are emotionally intense, dynamically structured, and melodically fulfilling. Searing pop vocal melodies overlay catchy, brazen guitar and bass riffs and intricate, bombastic drumming. David Lindquist of the Indianapolis Star favorably compared the band’s first CD Noiselint to Creed and the Stone Temple Pilots. Nuvo, Indy’s most widely distributed entertainment magazine, rated Noiselint as one of the 10 best releases of the year among local bands. The Mulligrubs began playing shows in support of Noiselint in late July, 2000. Over the next 5 months the band played 30 shows; many of which were at large regional venues. In addition to having performed with most of Indy’s best hard rock bands, the Mulligrubs opened for ATL recording artist OPM and Wind-Up recording artist Finger Eleven. The band recently recorded a 4-song demo of some of their best new material. Watch for the new tunes here on MP3. Free demos of the new material will be available at most shows. There are more than 20 new songs written and several others in development.
