Artist History Born from Winnipeg's legendary Blue Note Cafe, Tequila Mockingbird has spent four years building their reputation as a kick-ass live band. They have showcased and built connections at both CMW'99 & 2000, and were audience favorites during Prairie Music Week'99. Tequila songs are a marriage of fiery rock and deep groove, delivered with honesty and soul. Their performance is charged with style and raw energy that pulls the audience to its feet In 1999, fan demand for a CD prompted the release of the Queen Soul EP, a compilation of demos and live material. The disc enjoys continuous sales and regular airplay on local college radio. Tequila Mockingbird has now completed their debut LP, Any Shape or Form, released November 17, 2000 at Winnipeg's West End Cultural Centre. Response has been exceptional in Thunder Bay, where they have returned numerous times, including a recent date opening up for Nettwerk recording artists Jet Set Satellite. They have also acquired a fan base that stretches from the Cold Prairie Skies of Winnipeg to the Hustle and Bustle of Montreal's Streets. Summertime was a busy season for the band, appearing at a number of festivals, including 'Shakin the Lake' Festival in Minnedosa, MB where they opened for Edwin.
