Artist History
I remember singing "Jesus Loves Me" with my Mom as a kid. Our voices would blend beautifully. I also remember singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" in the shower and "Age of Aquarius" while mowing the lawn. My U.S. tours have been with my church choir. I've been to Denver where I played bass and sang. The next year we went to Florida. (If you've read this far, you are awesome) Now it's me, my Takamine and anyone else in the world who wants to make songs with me.. |
|
Instruments
Takamine acoustic guitar, bass, electric guitar, midi |

Press Reviews
"Not the pragmatic bombshell and star of such films as Vertigo and Pal Joey, but an equally talented singer-songwriter from Austin whose haunted vocals and stripped-down guitar work would keep anyone from hopping into the San Francisco Bay. --Jon P., Listen.com" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "You are the biggest star I know." --Eric C. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Her music kind of grabs your heart and holds it for a few moments before letting it go. There is a simple, no frills quality (with the exception of A Little Bit -- and how all the instruments were picked up with a four track is a fun speculation!). The vocal harmonies on Do it for You -- when she harmonized with her own voice were fun as well. Two thumbs up and round of snaps!--Crystal Rose http://www.mp3.com/Idylwood ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There's a very pure feeling I get when I listen to your music. Not because it's simple. I think the phrase "pure and simple" should be abolished from our vernacular, because alot of times those two things cannot coexist. Your music is complex because it weaves interesting chord structure and time with lyrics that are very personal, but extremely universal at the same time. And I think that makes the kind of music you do very pure. You don't assume other people know what you mean when you talk about what's happening in your song, but you describe it so well and support it with such interesting accompaniment (and not a billion instruments in there either, but it's really full sounding - how do you do that?), that people come to understand how you feel. You don't assume they know, you're just talking about how you feel, but because you do it so well we can understand. And an artist expressing her feelings and having so, so many people readily identify with what is for her very personal is as pure a definition of art as I can imagine. --LMK |
