Artist History
The story of fukachuk egg machine starts around 1992 when Blaise Kolodychuk and Terry Ramsay started the band ‘Dads With No Face’. It was basically your worse than average, but 20 times more fun garage band. We played rock and roll and punk rock and soon found ourselves playing at parties at least a couple times a month. With Terry on drums and Blaise on guitar we filled out our sound with Scott Johns on a second guitar. It got to be more sonic fury than even our audience could handle, we took some time off and in 1995 we re-formed as ‘die spinne’, this time with Scott on bass. With the new band we played even more and got a few shows at local bars. People would come out month after month to see us at parties and the music was getting better. However with us all growing up and doing our own things the band slowly died. In 1998 Blaise Kolodychuk still needed to make music, even though every one else had moved on. Put together in a tiny laundry room was the first fukachuk egg machine tape. It wasn’t like anything that had been done in the previous bands and had much more thought out and personal lyrics (in contrast to all the songs about numbers, cats, and dairy products that made up the majority of the previous bands’ set). Doing all the music himself it was more folky sort of synth music as opposed to the punk rock he had been making before. As time passed the technology and music advanced to a more rock and roll industrial sort of feel. To date there have been seven independently made fukachuk egg machine albums, made and sold solely from Blaise’s bedroom. Fukachuk egg machine has played live several times to great praise. The live show consists of Blaise using tapes, guitars, and keyboards as well as projected films he has made himself to create a memorable audio visual experience. His wife Amanda helps out with operating equipment, and singing vocals on a few songs as well. Furthermore Fukachuk Egg Machine is the coolest, most fantastic music ever made, and well… people really seem to like it… so there.
