Artist History
Formed in late 1994 in Vancouver, Canada, main songwriters Sara Mitchell & Karen Rauh. Awarded Canada Factor Grant for demo in 1995. Awarded $9,000 Video Fact grant (sponsored by MuchMusic) September 1998 for “The Interview”. “The Interview” video released January 21, 1999 featured on MuchMusic previous album was on regular rotation on 66 radio stations across Canada & the U.S. Featured on VTV’s Breakfast Show, 'Daytime' TV program, and netcast worldwide numerous times. Two songs placed 3rd & 4th out of over 900 contenders in Vancouver's CDIS Write-On Songwriting Contest in 1996. Performed at Music West '96 & '97. Performed at PetFest ‘99 (benefit for the SPCA). Two songs on soundtrack of indie film 'Wak-A-Mole' - Cheeky Monkey Productions. Three songs featured in independent film ‘New City Blues’ - Janet Kauppinen director. Self-titled debut CD released February 24, 1998 and four song sophmore EP, ‘pleasurecraft’, produced by Mark Henning released November 18, 1999 Both CDs available in most music stores in Canada and on-line through Indiepool Distribution. |
