Artist description
Coriolis is my electronic music outlet. Its where I go when I'm not "doing what I do." I'm into breakbeats, analog synths, and interesting ambient textures. Lately, I've been moving more towards making music thats a little less experimental and more accessible. Some new tracks are clubby Breaks, while others reveal my rekindled interest in Jazz. |

Artist History
Coriolis has been around since 1996--in one form or another. The name originates from the phenomena of physics dealing with rotating objects--The Coriolis Effect. Although I grew up in NOVA outside Washington DC, I lived in Florida and London (UK) from 92-96. In London I was exposed a number of different eletronic musical styles, most notably the popular explosion of what was then termed Jungle in '93. This lead to my interest in Breaks as well as electronic dance music in general. In '96, I set out to build a home studio with a computer and synths, and in early '99 released my first demo/e.p. called "GIGO." Several tracks on this site are from "GIGO." I have just finished a new demo, produced exlusively for the Winter Music Conference 2000 entitled "Networking." Check out these new tunes! |
