Artist History Possum Willy (which is the nickname of singer/guitarist Justin Hughes) was originally a blues band formed in spring of 1999. After a demo recorded in jan. 2000, possum willy constantly battled not having a drummer. This proved to be too stressfull on the band, leading to its gradual decline. Justin finally backed out of it and started working on forming a new band. After a few personel changes, 3 memebers became official, Pat' O'Connor, Jon Fix, and Justin. After spending the fall and winter of 2000 practicing, the new band finally went in to the studio in january of 2001 to record. The decision to keep the name Possum Willy came about in late december, 2000, but Rock was the new adopted genre. Then after many dui's from pat and fix's contant woman problems (this info is fabricated) Possum Willy kind of fell back to justin (again). After playing with 909 briefly in the summer of 2001, possum reformed with Kevin Hoffman on bass, and jeff barden on drums. A great wintertime passed and Jeff decided to leave after possum willy branched off to become a band called "NO". Jeff didn't break our hearts that bad though, because he introduced us to the coolest guy ever, our current drummer Bryan Beck. Bryan is a powerhouse and the greatest drummer anyone has ever seen. All in all, Possum Willy is a pleasant listening experience, mixing the likes of punk, rock, metal, jazz, and whatever else the band decides to use in its music to please the listener and the band is currently working on a new album.
