    Artist History
o x y g e n ~ In a time of extreme mediocrity, Oxygen is here to save us all. While everyone has been wondering what color lipstick N-Sync will wear next, the Bay Area rock/punk/pop trio has been fortifying rock for the future. With a sound that is Nirvana meets The Cars, and a glimpse of what would happen if bands like Weezer ruled the world, Oxygen is gearing up to ignite the state of radio, bring back big sounding guitars, great pop hooks and killer arrangements, and just a bit of punk ethos. Oxygen was formed by Nick Cavander, the one time bandleader of Porcelain, whose songs were used on television's "Nash Bridges" and chosen by the Grammy Showcase Association as one of the "50 best unsigned bands in the country". Jay Denton, of the now defunct indie touring act Lucy's Crush, rounds out the sound on bass and backing vocals. With a self released EP CD that has already made local airwaves in San Francisco (on CBS affiliate Live105, also home perch of Howard Stern), Oxygen is taking the next step towards national exposure and saving us all from the doldrums of today's current music scene.
