Artist History
Marianne Potje performed for several years with an experimental theatergroup before turning her attention to bodywork and music in the mid-90s.Her interest in body movement and martial arts encouraged a return to anearlier interest in dance and rhythm, especially the energizing beats ofelectronic music. In 1998, while still a member of Chicago's belovedPulsars she began assembling tunes for a project called Pogocello and programmed them on an old Roland XP 50. Soon after came the beats, basslines and production by Mr. Wet, Gregory Crook and Allen Burnett. |
