Artist History began playing punk music in the late 80's in search for freedom through the ideals of anarchy expressed in the music, gradually drifted towards different forms my ears opened slowly and began to accept new ideas rather than just express adolescent angst (although i still enjoy hardcore and punk), my musical education really began after listening to Miles Davis "Bitches Brew", Ornette Colemans "Free Jazz, The shape of jazz to come". I've played with various bands most recently I have been a member of Abstract featuring Maury Coles(check out the Abstract Mp3 site!!www.mp3.com/MauryColesAbstract) who is a very underated alto sax player who has played all over the world and gained accolades from Downbeat magazine, John Litweiller, etc. Recently I have had the opportunity to play with such amazing musicians such as Joe Mcphee, Dominic Duval, Sabir Mateen, Glen Hall, Geordie McDonald as well as a Semi-regular trio with Mark Hundevad (who has studied and played with Cecil Taylor, Raphe Malik, Glen Spearman, Dave Holland) who is a terrific vibist and mind blowing drummer and the other member of the trio is my regular partner in crime and my musical/spiritual brother on upright bass JasonHammer.
