Musical Influences Everything that grooves and speaks of world intellegence

Artist History This music took place in Paris France with many different jammers and collaborators. In a small reproduction studio located in the attic of a rehearsal hall and one year of banging our heads together brought out this pumping funk Hip Hop Urban project.Jon Vosco who moved back to the states and I can't find contributed extremely to the lyrics of this project. An American in Paris, Matthew Russell came as a flute and saxophone player from NYC where he was playing with salsa, reggae and jazz bands. Looking towards a new horizon he travelled all over the Middle East, Europe, and Africa until he found himself based in Paris France. This is where he has been developing his "World Beat" sound where Africa meets India coming from NYC. He has worked as producer, arranger and composer on projects distributed by Universal, sony, BMG, and EMI. One of his personal projects, which is featured here today, is "City of Light". Funk, Hip-Hop, and Groove are the message.
