Artist History
The Last Great Liar was formed in April 1999. The original line up consisted of Chris Morris (guitar, vocals) Sage (bass) and Pat Taylor (drums). We released our first EP "Snowman" in April 2000 on our own label Baghead Records. The EP was well received by local (KCMU, KGRG) radio, and we played on air at KCMU's The Live Room as well as KGRG's Mayhem in the AM. After playing local and regional shows in support of the EP in summer/fall 2000 we decided to head back into the studio to record our first full length "Doppelganger". The ten songs on Doppelganger were recorded in winter 2001 with engineer Matt Bayles. After recording we started working with our newest member to the group the very talented Christen Shaw (guitar). We then set out for a short northwest tour in February, and a west coast tour in April. Doppelganger will be released in May 2001,we then toured the west coast 3 times the us twice and then the west coast again with a different line-up. the line up now consists of Christiaan Morris(bass, vocals) Christen Shaw(guitar, backup vocals) and Sage (drums). We are leaving at the end of august for three month tour check out our website for a show in your town. |
