Artist History
Organized in 1948 and observed 50 years together in 1998. Over the years had only 26 other members (not including the members listed later in this site). In commemoration of band's 50th anniversary, a book was written and commercially released detailing (year-by-year diary style) all the happenings in those 50 years (book has over 170 photos with major stars band appeared with). |

Additional Info
In 1995, Joe Taylor included in book called "Definitive Country: the Ultimate Encyclopedia of Country Music and Its Performers" by Barry McCloud. Joe Taylor honored in 1988 with plaque from Country Music Hall of Fame (signed by Emmylou Harris). Joe Taylor in 1997 named a "Sagamore of the Wabash" by Governor Frank O'Bannon (Indiana's highest civilian award). In 1999 Joe Taylor included in Country.Com's "Century of Country" CD-ROM. Band presented in 1999 with a Resolution by the Indiana State Legislature. All awards in recognition of Taylor and band's contribution to the country music industry. |
