Artist History HemorRhage had its beginnings when each of the band members made one another's acquaintance in the Boston, MA music scene circa 1992. Richie S. was playing in his band "Spoiled Rotten", Al Veolus started the "Bloody Tampons" then later met Mack Duff to form "KMG-365" with Skabbs coming on as their drummer. Al & Mack became good friends with Richie S. after attending several Spoiled Rotten shows and soon Richie was visiting the guys in "KMG-365" to jam with them on occasion. Richie didn't think much of their songwriting abilities but was extremely impressed with their talent and musicianship. Following the breakup of "Spoiled Rotten" in 1993 Richie's professional employment as a software engineer saw him move to Nashville, TN where he began to explore his songwriting, recording and production skills further while collaborating with his brother Eric as a lyricist. Richie remained in touch with his Boston pals from "KMG-365" who began making trips to Nashville to do some recording together with Richie's solo work. They completed an album entitled "Living Dangerously" under the band name "Crippled Rich", which was derived from a recording session Richie had while producing a demo for a band back before he left Boston. The term referred to someone who comes into money by way of an accident. Definitely one of those "you had to be there" type of stories which we won't go into any further! Richie then returned to Northern New York, continuing to work on his solo projects. Soon he found himself moving to the Syracuse NY area in 1995 and it seemed Al, Mack, and Skabbs were always visiting working on material with Richie. Finally in the winter of '96 Al, Mack, and Skabbs relocated to Central New York and the group began using the name "HemorRhage" to record under. Richie's brother Eric continues to be a strong songwriting influence as well contributing both lyrics and song ideas to the band.
