Musical Influences Pantera, Sevendust, MachineHead, Incubus, Faith No More, Glassjaw

Artist History Influenced by bands like Faith No More, Pantera, and Incubus, just to name a few, Flynet played their own unique brand of heavy, groove-laden music with riffs o plenty. Hailing from Manchester, New Hampshire, the group was formed in September 1997 by, guitarist, Dan Saunders and, drummer, Brian Miller. Both musicians were eager to start something that would transcend the current musical trends and turn a few heads. To complete the line-up, they recruited, vocalist, Adam Fithian and after going through several bassists, Jason Luscher joined the group in the summer of 1999. Flynet quickly secured a loyal fan-base, opening for popular local acts, like CrowneVict, Gargantua Soul, Eastcide, No December and 7th Rail Crew. By the end of 2000, they were playing shows all over New England, and became known as a local favorite. The bands reputation for passionate, engaging performances soon earned them opportunities to play larger shows, including the Heineken - MP3.com Summer Tour and opening slots for acts such as Puya, 6Gig, Must, Tree and Candiria. After achieving moderate success with longtime vocalist, Adam Fithian, the band parted ways with him in the summer of 2001. Many months of auditions paid off when the band returned in early 2002 with local singer, James Monas. The young newcomer brought a fresh attitude and a new dimension to the bands sound. Flynets newest material is a mix of guitar-driven rock with the edge of hardcore and metal. Their unique style and the contagious energy of their live shows spoke for themselves. After making significant gains in the local music scene, the members of Flynet went their separate ways in August of 2002. The band thanks all the fans and supporters for the 5 great years that Flynet enjoyed. The hope is that people will continue enjoying the music for a long time to come.
