Artist History Asa began rapping in 1989 were he pursued a major record label contract through his production of demos. People from L.A. to Texas were feelin' Asa's raw-multifascited hip hop style. In 1991 though, with a major record label seeking to sign Asa, he declined; having found God as the new focal of his life. In 1993, the brand new Asa then came out with his first gospel hip hop album:"Soldier Material". Since then, album after album is dedicated to exalting Christ through the effective means of the Spirit of God and hip hop music. Asa latest project, "The "G" Is 4 Gospel" is on sale now.
