Artist History
WE ARE NOW COPPERPOT (mp3.com/copperpot)Copperpot is a pop/rock band from New Jersey that combines infectious Beatle-esque melodies and harmonies with the youthful energy and guitar crunch of modern rock bands such as Weezer, Fountains of Wayne, and Foo Fighters. Includes singer/songwriter/guitarist Jarrett Randazzo, formerly of Tocar.Their brand new 10-song album Nothing Lasts Forever, produced by Bob Green and Randy Staley, is chock full of outstanding hooks, evident in its rollicking, jangly title track all the way through the closing Radiohead-esque "What You Feel". The band covers an unusually large range of pop styles on the record, including bright early-Beatles style rock ("Candy, "Christine"), sincere acoustic ballads ("Alison"), and edgier punk-pop ("All My Yesterdays", "My Apologies"). Copperpot should be a name to watch as it expands its following throughout the Northeastern U.S. in the coming months. |

Press Reviews
I recently saw this band in connecticut, and i must say that they were a breath of fresh air. it really is rare these days to come upon a band that truly loves performing and plays tight, catchy tunes that in no way succumb to the abysmally monosyllabic standard set by most bands in the industry today. Tocar brings to mind days when music was much more fun, before artists with delusions of grandeur and elitist, condescending scenesters made going to a show a complex dogmatic statement rather than a place to go for a good time. so if you want power pop that brings to mind driving in a convertible on a lazy summer day, check Tocar out. but be warned, most of their songs will be in your head so long youll have to start charging them rent.
