    Artist History
St. Mark began rapping in 1996 and recorded his first song in 1997. He released his first CD single "Snitch'N", in 1998 which contains three selections. Mark Newman a.k.a. “St. Mark” is a native Washingtonian. He is considered a pioneer of gospel rap music by many people in his hometown. St. Mark has taken his God given talents and gifts and uses them to glorify his Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST. With his imaginative skills in writing, producing, arranging and performing, he has touched the lives of many through his ministry. St. Mark was interviewed and has appeared on BET's "Gospel Rap City" program, in February of 1997. On New Year’s Eve ’97, St. Mark helped Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN) bring in the new year with nationally acclaimed gospel artists, including Hammer, William Becton and Friends, and others. There are many things that God has done for Mark. The most important of all is when he gave his only begotten son, JESUS CHRIST to him. Because of everything that the Lord has afforded him, he has made a life long commitment to spread the “Good News” through rap.
