Artist description
Spout is a hard-hitting, energetic young modern rock foursome from Nashville, TN. With lyrics ranging from catchy pop tunes that won’t leave your head, to emotional outpours of mature and surprisingly wise themes for such a young group, Spout captivates audiences with their enthusiastic intensity during their action-packed live shows. No heavy metal, no soft rock…just raw emotion blended with a visibly undeniable passion portraying the true definition of Spout: v. Intr. – “To express one’s opinions in a loud, indiscreet manner.” |

Artist History
Only two weeks after its inception, Spout was invited to perform in the 2000 Mars Music National Showcase, and has since shared bills with Creed and Six Pence None the Richer.
Spout scored a top ten Internet single out of a total of 37,890 songs on the Internet’s highly acclaimed “garageband.com”, and the band’s website spoutmusic.com receives hundreds of hits a day, drawing in fans from every corner of the U.S and abroad who can be found posting hourly on the site’s popular “spout board”. Spout was recently chosen by 102.9FM The Buzz (Nashville’s leading rock station) to be the first band in the station’s history to perform a live broadcast rock concert.
After winning the “Out of the Box Entertainment’s Memphis 2002 Battle of the Bands”, Spout continues to relentlessly tour the southeast sparking media attention including national sponsorship by Jagermeister liquor, who are known to pick the very best in unsigned bands such as Lit and Drowning Pool. Their intense performances show no mystery as to why they’ve been the critics picks in all of Nashville’s leading publications. The vivacious foursome is currently finalizing their first album to be released in the fall of 2002, with a southeast promotional tour to follow. These are major accomplishments for a band that is self-managed, self-promoting, self-booking, and whose highly acclaimed CD is self-produced. |

Press Reviews
“Spout is not just powerful, but they’re hooky as hell, both with their riffs and their melodic/lyrical sense.” - Don Thomason, The Amplifier, Bowling Green, KY
“…they’re covering a lot of ground fast. The typical Spout song layers accusatory lyrics over fuzzed-out modern-rock riffage with a gut instinct for when to leave some sonic elbowroom between the group’s massive guitars.” - Jim Ridley, Nashville Scene, Nashville, TN
“The lyrics with their catchy hooks remain intense and keep Spout apart from the generic ramblings of novice rock.” - JonJon, Nashville Panorama, Nashville, TN
