Artist History
SlackSeason formed in Gainesville where its members were attending the University of Florida. It didn't take long before the 4 ditched their books in a favor of full time rock n' roll. They quickly built a large local following and soon thereafter took their show on the road. Several east coast tours later, the band has shared the stage with countless "name" acts including the Bloodhound Gang, Marvelous 3, Fastball, Blink 182, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Sister Hazel, Less Than Jake, SR-71, Stroke 9, Harvey Danger, Modern English, Days of the New, Goldfinger, They Might Be Giants and James Brown, among others. SlackSeason has also already received loads of attention from the national music media including Billboard, Hits, Demo Diaries and CMJ. Now based in Orlando, the band is never afraid to get in the van and go. Their energetic stage show has earned them a large and loyal following. But it's the songs that keep the kids coming back for more. SlackSeason crafts upbeat guitar-driven anthems with hooks that keep listeners humming for days. Tonos recently described their sound as "Social Distortion meets Blink 182". They are a new model throwback to the days when rock did just that, rocked. |

Press Reviews
"Well produced, upbeat, and almost unbelievably hooky, these songs scream to be played near the end of the party, when your buzz lends everything a John Hughes-esque haze, and you’re about to tell her how you feel." - Focus Magazine "Seek out Slack Season. Their chemistry is formidable as are the hooks." - Billboard Magazine For the full articles and other press, visit www.slackseason.com |
