Artist History
Joey Fortuna (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Mike Rinzel (vocals, lead guitar) founded POOLSVILLE in March 1997. The duo have been writing songs together since they were young-uns in suburban Maryland where they grew up. In June 1997, Fortuna and Rinzel added drummer Adam Chasan (Val Holler Band), and in February 1998, Mike's brother, Mark Rinzel (bass) joined the band.
Poolsville recorded its debut demo CD, entitled Slop Pop late in 1998..
POOLSVILLE has been performing at venues in New York City since March 1997. Last year, the band made appearances at both the CMJ Music Festival and the first annual IntelFest Music Show. POOLSVILLE will be perfoming at this year's Digital Club Festival in New York City along with hundreds of other bands. Work on Poolsville's next CD, which will be released entirely in MP3 format, is currently underway. Advanced copies of certain tracks will be available for a limited time at MP3.com. |
