Artist History
Peter Dragotta’s Pharmacopia debuted in 1994 with the cd "Pop’s English" and began a side career as a freelance composer providing music for advertising and marketing projects. In 1999 he became the resident composer and Director of Audio Production for Thingee Digital Multimedia Communications www.thingeedigital.com.
Peter continues to write what he calls his “personal music” between projects at Thingee Digital. There he has been composing music for the US Army, Novartis, Astra Zeneca, and many other large corporations. His primary instrument is the EVI (Electronic Valve Instrument). It can best be described as a midi trumpet. Playing the EVI since 1994, the versatility of this instrument has been a major influence in his musical explorations. Peter will be building a new state-of-the-art recording studio at Thingee Digital’s new corporate headquaters production studio slated to open in January 2004.

Press Reviews
Dick Metcalf of the magazine Improvijazzation Nation wrote about Pharmacopia: "no boredom for the listener & it's clear that Peter is enjoying playing this which, in my view, is 70% of the battle for recorded music. When the players enjoyment shines through, the music (no matter the genre) is infectious." |
