Artist description
There can be no greater name in the recording of
sound than that of Thomas Edison. From his inven-
tion of the phonograph in 1877 to the demise
of his recording company in the stock market crash
of 1929, Thomas Edison dedicated his life to the
improvement of sound recording.
The most complete collection of Edison
recordings is at the Edison National Historic Site
in West Orange, New Jersey, where Jerry Fabris is
the Sound Curator responsible for digitally
re-recording this collection. We would like to
thank the ENHS for making these re-recordings
available to us so that the public might enjoy
them. |
