Artist description
Ken writes mostly guitar-based tunes, featuring unusual
lyrical angles and instrumental colorings.
His songs range from the upbeat, strummy travelogue
"The Invisible Thread" to the wry "Sadsack Novel"
to the subdued, acoustic "Can't Help Falling Down"
to the loopy mini-epic "Pokerface." |
 |
Music Style
Ken Siegert plays catchy, quirky and melodic pop-rock on his debut CD, UP FROM THE MURKY DEPTHS. |
 |
Artist History
Speaking of his previous one-man-band release,
ALTERNATIVE PRESS "was hooked bigtime by this bouncy
bedroom-studio gem." For his CD debut, Ken closed
the bedroom door, got in his car, and drove from
his Boston-area home to Hartford, CT to record at
co-producer Jim Chapdelaine's MultiMusic studio.
After countless mind-numbing trips back and forth,
yet bolstered by winning MUSICIAN magazine's
"Best Unsigned Band" contest, Ken offers up fourteen
original songs featuring a lonely toll-taker, a man
obsessed with setting world records, and a boy on
the passenger side.
