Artist History
KAOS! was founded by Bert and Sel in the lunch room, at the tender age of 11. Even though Craig didn't know how to play any instruments, that didn't stop them from playing the awesome party and bar-mitzvah scene. Several years, band members, and guitar lessons later, KAOS! had become a full fledged high school band. Sid joined in 1983 and KAOS! continued their romp of Westchester County's finest parties, school gigs, and battle of the bands. The defining moment in KAOS! history came in the winter of 1986, when in need of a new drummer, the guy that would become Otis joined up. (That's me!) With this addition, KAOS! as it is today, was born.KAOS!'s first break in the summer of 1988, with a string of gigs at the famous (or infamous if you've tried to get a show) CBGB's in NYC. From there KAOS! played all across the state of New York, at colleges, parties, frat houses, bars, and clubs. The ongoing party continued throughout the band's college years and beyond. Until one day, the music stopped! (Not really)The arrival of Otis's son slowed the band down. Much to the other members' delight, Adam looked a lot like his mother. Since this blessed day, Sid and Sel have also gotten hitched, and thus the shows were put on the back burner. That brings us to summer 1999. After a great deal of whining, playing, and eating, KAOS! has decided that the world should not be deprived of the fun they provide any longer. So look for us in all the familiar haunts in NYC, as well as some new places and new towns. |
