    Artist History
Once upon a time, long, long ago in a place called Earth, there arose four men out of the clay. The people of Earth stared as the four men came to life. They looked at the people and the land they were in and said, "Hey, this place is all right." But the people of Earth, they couldn't see it. They found their lives drab, tedious, and full of stress from a yearning for a better life. They saw their great cities and towns as ugly. A once proud culture with art and parades had been reduced to a pile of force-fed images of an unpleasant nature. Nature herself was overrun with lodgings filled with needless amenities that were too expensive for the average Joe. Well, these four men, born from the clay of the Earth, they looked around. They noticed the despair and vacant, soulless look of the people. These four saw more. They saw a group of people in one place, ready for something. These four, they brought some luggage. As they opened up their luggage, the people wondered. First Dave, the Guy with spectacles, sat down at his drum set, hitting a snare, a tom, a cymbal, and adjusting himself. This raised no eyebrows. Then Steve, the Contemplater, strapped on a bass and strummed a few deep notes. Sam, the Sportsman Philosopher, unsheathed his guitar and played a loud inviting chord. The crowd edged closer until they were almost upon these four. At last, Josh, the Optimist/Realist, picked up a microphone. "Ladies and gentlemen," he said, "we are HOT N HAZY. Thank you all for coming. We would like to play a few songs." And play they did. The people began to look at each other and smile. They danced and held each other. They cried with joy. They roared with the songs of HOT N HAZY. Not for many years had people felt these emotions. HOT N HAZY had brought them hope. Word spread quickly and the word was good. The word grew beyond the horizon as Sam, Dave, Josh and Steve played long into the night. When they were done they had so many offers for room and board (not living in their clay huts anymore), they knew not how to chose among the wonderful people. Finally, they settled for a night at the Governor's house. Well, the next day it seemed a change had come over Earth. With HOT N HAZY around playing their sounds of love, life and all else, people were no longer sour nor dour. The streets were cleaned by those who lived there. Families ate their meals together. W orkers were given the weekends off. People looked around them and saw that it was good and embraced those things. Naturally, they embraced HOT N HAZY most of all. Of course, there was much hard work to be done. A good life does not come easily, but the people's spirits had been raised and Earth became a great place to live and visit once again. It all started with these four men, clay-born, who call themselves HOT N HAZY.
