    Artist History
Freudian Slip emerged from the Princeton New Jersey area in 1989 at the same time that The Spin Doctors and Blues Traveler were also active in the area. From 1989 until 1992 “The Slip” was everywhere performing at clubs such as The Wetlands in NYC (in the same week as Phish & Pearl Jam) Philadelphia’s legendary Khyber Pass and appearing regularly in Greenwich Village. At one point Freudian Slip lived and performed in Boulder, Colorado. Through out the Rutgers University and Trenton State College area, The Band was known for it’s marathon concerts, particularly their notorious Halloween Parties. In the spring of 1992 Tom Donovan (guitar, vocals & songwriter) began performing with Relix recording artists, Solar Circus, playing many of Freudian Slip’s songs at approximately 1,000 shows through out the country over the next five years. In October of 1993 Jason Crosby (keyboards, violin, trumpet & vocals) joined Solar Circus and formed a musical partnership with Tom which led to some of Solar Circus’ brightest moments. This partnership also led to jamming and performing live with Freudian Slip between 1993 and 1996 in the New York metropolitan area. The members of Freudian Slip have all been performing with a wide variety of musicians who play in different genres, making it difficult to categorize Freudian Slip’s “sound”. Performing rock, funk, jazz, blues, grunge, country, hip-hop, R&B, pop, folk, and classical music professionally, The efforts of Freudian Slip’s members have culminated in a 2,500 name mailing list, their web site http://members.aol.com/Fslip. At the same time, Freudian Slip has found a way to create new musical ideas by constant rehearsals and studio sessions. Freudian Slip just returned from a month long West Coast tour which culminated in an industry showcase at the legendary Whisky A GoGo on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip. Freudian Slip’s self titled debut CD is now available through Ambient Productions.
