Artist History
Formed in 1990 by Andy Koh and Frank Basile. Andy
was a Harvard Medical student at that time who had
recently returned back to the U.S. after a two-
year stint in Oxford,England. He had gone to college
in the Boston area and had been in a band with Berklee
College of Music students. So this time around, he
plastered the Berklee campus with flyers, looking
to put a band together. Frank Basile, the drummer,
had never ever replied to a band flyer before, but
for some reason decided to reply to this flyer. The
first practice consisted of Andy strumming on his
Telecaster and singing, while Frank was pounding on
the drums. Over the next three years, two other
Berklee students (Tim Nickerson, bass, and Dan
Bosshardt, tenor saxophone) joined the band. Since
then, the band has done the Boston club circuit,
signed on to management, and been cranking out
material. The drummer owns and engineers his own recording
studio, meaning that the band has really honed
its recording skills. |
