Artist History
With such diverse backgrounds and influences, it's amazing this group ever formed and the diversity shows in their original material. As all hard-nosed
newcomers, Bump has taken on a variety of cover material ranging from Modern/Alternative Rock to Classic rock, funk, and reggae tunes. Set lists include songs from the Smashing Pumpkins to Sly and the Family Stone. The original
material (the band's focus and future) has expanded over time and their independently released CD "Care to Mutter" is now only a chapter in their book of originally written material. The unique sonic spectrum of the band's own songs has
attracted the attention of Maryland and DC clubs as well as DC underground poetry magazine "Rhapsody in Black" and Frederick, MD's local TV show "Out on the Towne".
Listen closely to the searing solos of Matt's guitar, the unbelievable bass riffs cranked out by Spencer, and Bill's unique percussion style. They are a truly very talented group of musicians. When asked "What band's music does Bump most resemble?," Matt smiles and says "Bump, of course."
Bump's energy and rhythm is sure to get you rockin' and dancin'!
